Tien Giang: Preparing for environment- culture- tourism week 2012

   On 3rd May, a meeting on preparing for environment- culture- tourism week 2012 was held by the Representative Office of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Ho Chi Minh City and the Tien Giang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The environment- culture- tourism week 2012 will focus on raising local communities, authorities, social organizations, businesses and tourists’ awareness of environmental conservation. This is one of activities aiming to celebrate 122nd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s Birthday (19th May 1890-19th May 2012).

The week will officially take place in My Tho city, Go Cong Town, and Cai Be District from 14th -19 May 2012 under the theme “Environment- culture- tourism protection and waterway tourism safety for sustainable tourism development”. Main activities includes a meeting ceremony launching “the environment- culture- tourism week 2012” held in Lac Hong Park, My Tho city, a conference on “environment- culture- tourism protection and waterway tourism safety for sustainable tourism development” at the headquarters of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, tourist boats parade, art-performance program and planting trees ceremony around the locality.

The event will be a chance to call for the public responding to environmental protection and sustainable tourism development in the Tien Giang Province.
