Day 1: Luang Prabang – Arrival

After you are picked up at Luang Prabang international airport, you will meet your private guide who will greet and welcome then take you to hotels.

Free-time Idea(s):  A simple stroll about town illustrates Luang Prabang’s magnetism. It’s picturesque, with all the lure of a quaint European town mixed with the beautiful, woodsy favor of Asia. A popular pastime is simply lounging in a peaceful cafe with a baguette and coffee (Laotians drink the real stuff, not espresso) and watching local life pass by.

Day 2 : Luang Prabang – Pak ou caves

Luang Prabang Discovery:

Today, you will experience a long way about 25km to visit the special destinations along the Mekong River.

Activities:

  • Visit Royal Palace Museum, which hosts a range of interesting artifacts.
  • Embark on the a leisure cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside.
  • Reach the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims and go sightseeing the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the local rice wine.
  • Visit magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture and Traditional Art and Ethnology Center to aquire the basic knowledge of Laos’ many ethnic cultures.

Day 3 : Luang Prabang – Kuang Si Waterfall

Discovery :

The Kuang Si Waterfall located 29km south of Luang Prabang, is the biggest in the Luang Prabang area with three tiers leading to a 50-metre drop into spectacular azure pools before flowing downstream.
Activities:

  • Participate in the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms (ubiquitous sticky rice) from the faithful residents
  • Take a short visit to the morning local market near the Royal Palace to watch locals do everyday.
  • Ascend the 329 steps to the top of Phousi Hill for a panoramic view of the city and the Mekong River.
  • Visit Wat Visoun, dating back to 1513 during the reign of King Wisunarat (Visoun) which is Luang Prabang’s oldest temple and was once home to the Prabang Buddhas.
  • Transfer directly to the beautiful Kuang Si Waterfall where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the pools or walk along the forest trails.
  • Visit the Kuang Si Falls Butterfly Park (closed on Tuesday), one of the must-visit spots, where you can have an optional 15 minute tour to learn about butterflies and local flora.
  • Take a short visit to the Ock Pop Tock Living Craft Center, where you will have a short tour so you get information about Silk, about weaver, about the Women that work in the Centre.
  • Transfer out to the airport to take the departure flight.

Day 4 : Hanoi city tour

Welcome to Hanoi: The flight take about 2 hour to arrive Hanoi and 45 minutes driving through beautiful rice fields to reach Hanoi center before transferring to your hotel for check in.
City Tour:
After having lunch at a local restaurant with specific Vietnamese cuisine, you will start your half-day city tour which bring new experiences about the hidden beauty of the Northern region for tourists.

  • Go sightseeing the Temple of Literature, which is constructed in 1070 under Ly Thanh Tong’s dynasty, is first to honor Confucius and nowadays to celebrate the doctorates and high rank scholars of Vietnam.

Day 8 : Hue – Hoi An

Hue Departure: Today, you will leave Hue for Hoi An but firstly spend your half-day with wonderful scenery on the way of Lang Co beach, Hai Van pass, Marble mountain etc.
Activities:

  • Relax and get sunburn in Lang co beach one of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam with gradually slope and white sand.
  • Drop in Hai Van called the road “a deserted ribbon of perfection—one of the best coast roads in the world.”
  • Visit Cham Museum: This fine museum has the world’s largest collection of Cham artifacts, housed in buildings marrying French-colonial architecture with Cham element.
  • Climb Marble mountain: is a cluster of five marble and limestone hills located in Ngu Hanh Son ward, south of Da Nang city in Vietnam. The five ‘mountains’ are named after the five elements: metal, water, wood, fire and earth.

Day 10 : Hoi An – Da Nang – Ho Chi Minh
