Hanoi Halong Bay

Day 1:     Hanoi Arrival / ½ day city tour (D)

Arrive at Noi Bai Airport, you are picked up by our driver at airport and transfer to your hotel in Hanoi. Check in and rest before you start a half day exploring Hanoi. With our tourguide, visit the Temple of Literature – the first university of the country, Confucius influenced – now turned into a historical site for travellers in a tranquil settings in the middle of a crowded Hanoi. After that, pay a visit to a museum of your choice (Museum of Ethonology or Arts or Military). Have a quick cool ride on electric car in the Old Quarter traffic with our guide. Water puppet show (45minutes) at the end of the day following by dinner. Overnight in Hanoi.

 

Day 2:        Hanoi / Hoa Lu – Tam Coc (B,L)

8.30, meet up with our driver and tour guide at your hotel. Transfer through the countryside to Hoa Lu (2.5-3 hour drive), the ancient capital of Vietnam during the 10th century. On arrival,  visit Dinh Tien Hoang and Le Dai Hanh dynastic temple. Have lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon board a small sampan for a spectacular 2-hour cruise through numerous waterways and beautiful rural landscape of limestone cliffs and rice paddies to the stunning Tam Coc caves. Back to Hanoi in the late afternoon.

 

Day 3:        Hanoi / Halong on Dragon Pearl Junk (B,L,D)

Breakfast in the hotel. Around 8-8.30, you will get picked up to Halong bay on air-conditioned shuttle bus to Halong Bay (3.5 hour drive). At noon, You are welcomed on board, enjoy welcome drink and cruise briefing and have lunch while cruising to magnificient Bai Tu Long bay. Later of the day, you will explore the Thien Canh Son cave, and relax on a white sandy beach at Hon Co island, option for kayaking (included) here.  Dinner and overnight on board.

 

Day 4:         Halong / Hanoi (B,L)

In the morning, early birds can enjoy the view with a cup of tea/coffee before having breakfast in the fresh air. Around 9.30, we will transfer to smaller boat to visit Vung Vieng fishing village, interact with the locals, passing by floating community and fish farms. Get ready to check out when you are back to the main boat. And we will have lunch while cruise back to the wharf. Disembark around 11.30 and get on shuttle bus back to Hanoi at about 16.30. An hour of good relaxing massage is waiting for you before heading back to the hotel (you may need to pay the taxi from massage place to your hotel on your own). Free for your own leisure for the night in Hanoi.

Massage services need to be reserved and informed in advance.

 

Day 5:         Hanoi  Departure (B)

Breakfast in hotel, spend your last time shopping before transferring to Noi Bai airport for your departure flight.
