1. Are Travel Sense Asia Family Trips just for parents and children?
A. Our definition of family is quite broad. We invite all parents (including single parents), grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and family friends to join in the fun of a Travel Sense Asia Family Trip!
2. Is it possible to find out the ages and gender of other children booked on a trip?
A. We know it’s more fun when kids have playmates near their own age. Just ask your Trip Consultant to give you the breakdown of ages. Remember, of course, that this information may change before your trip departs. Please also keep in mind that for the majority of our trips we have age recommendations, not age restrictions.
3. Will childcare be available during the trip?
A. Many of our hotels on Family Trips do offer childcare services. Your Trip Leaders/ Tourguide are not available for childcare outside of scheduled kids’ activities. If you would like to arrange for childcare at other times, your leaders will help explore all reasonable avenues to find English-speaking caregivers, but we can’t guarantee that childcare will be available. Please keep this in mind when selecting your trip. In the event you do opt for childcare, your travel consultant/ tourguide will provide contact information and you will be responsible for making the arrangements.
AGE RESTRICTIONS & RECOMMENDATIONS
4. Do your Family Trips have age restrictions?
A. Yes. Some activities—such as rock climbing, kayaking, watersports—have minimum age requirements. Your Trip Consultant can give you the details for any trip you’re considering.
5. What happens when kids are too young to participate in an age-restricted activity?
A. We consider this question carefully when setting recommended minimum ages for our family trips. While we pride ourselves on providing flexibility, there are times when available options are limited. For kids at or above the recommended age for the trip but too young for a specific activity, we always provide an alternate activity. When the child is below both the trip age recommendation and the specific activity requirement, we ask that a parent remain with the child and we do our best to suggest alternative activities.
6. My 6-year-old daughter is steady on her bike but not ready for the open road. What is your policy on this?
A. For safety reasons, we do not allow children under 7 to ride their own bikes.
On some of our trips, children ages 7-8 years may pedal their own bikes as long as they are safe, competent riders. This means they must be comfortable with light traffic, able to ride a straight line without weaving or losing balance, and able to handle gears and hand brakes. Please be aware that if your leaders determine that your 7- or 8-year-old child is not riding safely, they will require an alternate activity.
LEADERS & SAFETY
7. Are your Tourguide trained to effectively deal with the dynamics of children?
A. Our Tourguide are the most carefully selected and rigorously trained in the travel business. For Family Trips, we look for leaders who like, respect and want to be around kids and have experience in managing and/or teaching children. Equipped with a wealth of entertaining and educational resources, our leaders are experts at creating a comfortable, safe and fun environment. They can communicate at kids’ level, see the world through their eyes and have the energy to keep pace with even the most active kids. Each day of your trip, one Tourguide will be completely dedicated to the role of Kid Coordinator. Please note that Tourguide do not provide childcare outside of these specific kids’ activities and that kids must be 5 and older to participate without a parent.
8. How do you encourage safe practices among children?
A. Safety is our top priority. Our Kid Coordinator presents a safety talk every day, providing tips for preventing accidents and staying safe. Playing games and leading by example are some ways we communicate the importance of safety to children.
A. Foods in Asia just so different. So we will organise some of the meals in Western style so your kids wont feel un-eatable. So please send us the list of some favourite dishes and we will reserve table for you in recommended restaurant. You and your family will find freshly made, healthy and delicious food on our picnics as well as quality cuisine with good kid options.
10. What are the rooming choices for families?
A. Rooming options are dependent upon individual hotels. Typically we can arrange for single, double bed room or twin bed room on all Family trip. Extra bed in some hotels arae a rollaway bed. And in some hotels that have connecting rooms, or family suites with 2 bedrooms, we will recommend these hotels as first options for family.
11. Can you guarantee connecting or adjacent rooms for families when requested?
A. Once you make a specific request to your Trip Consultant, we will make every effort to secure rooms that connect, are adjacent, or are at least near one another. Hotels will be advised of your request and Tourguide will follow up with hotels about special requests prior to check-in. Please note that connecting rooms are not available in all of our hotels.

1. Can I purchase Travel Sense Asia gift certificates?

3. How far in advance do I need to reserve my vacation?
A. The farther in advance you book, the greater availability of accommodation you’ll find. For holiday periods and popular summer destinations, we recommend reserving at least four to six months before the trip you’re interested in departs.

Yes, for all packages that we offers at Travel Styles, visa on arrival to Vietnam 1 month single entry are FREE and included in the package.
1. How do I sign up for my trip? How much of a deposit is required?

2. What if the preferred hotel is not available?
We will advise the similar hotel at the same ranges of quality and prices, we will inform you right after checking availability with our hotel partners.
3. What is Cut-off Date?
In case you want to hold the reservation to wait until you got everyone in your group to agree, or simple your boss hasnt approved the day off yet, we can hold the reservation until Cut Off Date (our Sales will inform you this date) to avoid any cancellation fee. Cut off Date is different at each hotels depends on hotels’ policies. It can be 3 days, 7 days or even 18 days before checking in date.
4. What is Issuing flight tickets date?
For cheap tickets, you normally have to issue tickets right away. But for economy flexible rates, you can wait until Issue date (often 7 days with Vietnam Airlines). Your seats are confirmed on the flight, but you havent paid and issued the tickets yet. Before issue date, you can change, cancel without any fee. But after issue date, you will have to pay cancellation fee if you cancel it.
Vietnam airlines Policy is 10% cancellation for economy flexible rates.
5. How far ahead can I make my reservation?
You can book 24 months in advance, but remember after booking, you will have to pay deposit as usual.
6. How do I make reservation for someone else?
Please notify us that you are going to make a reservation for someone else and book the trip with your email address so you can receive the confirmation.
7. What happens to my tour if my flight is delayed?
Please inform us and the hotel immediately as any additional or no charge will only depend on the hotel policy. We try our best to offer you the similar ground services.
8. Is it reliable to book online?
We make your online reservation extremely satisfying, comfortable and without apprehension over your security, privacy and concern about online reservations. Making an online reservation is easy. Just complete the reservations form online, making sure that you give us your e-mail address and sending it to us. As soon as we receive your request we will reply within 24 hours.
9. Do you have special rates for groups?
Yes, we do offer special rate for group, and every 15 people , your group will enjoy 1 person free of charge. If you can gather a group, you can travel FREE too. Let us know when you plan to have a group with you, we will assist you.
10. What days are you open?
We open Monday – Friday from 8.30-17.30 and Saturday from 8.30-12.00 Pacific Time with the following exceptions when we are closed: Lunar New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day. But we can still be reached by our hotline number 24/7.
XI. TRIP CONFIRMATION
1. What’s next after I make my reservation?
After receiving your request, we will reply to you right away to confirm that we are working on it.
1-2 days later, when we already reserve services for you, we will get back to you to confirm each service in itinerary together with invoice and ask you to make a deposit.
When we receive the deposit, then we will reconfirm with update invoice, itinerary, flight tickets and hotel vouchers (if there is any).
2. What is VOUCHERS?
For all accommodations you will be staying in, we will send you hotel vouchers to print out and give to reception of hotels when you check in. The voucher will provide all the information of the booking included: your name, number of room, date check in – date check out, room type and included breakfast or not.
If there is any confusion at the hotel reception, please tell them to call our operator number on the voucher.
3. How long does it take to get a confirmation?
2 days and for some longer itinerary, it would take up to 3 days to get all the confirmation from our suppliers and for our Sales to prepare all travel document for you. For some short services, the confirmation can be within a day.
4. How long does it take to get your reply after my reservation?
Lastest 24h but it often less than that. For some reasons, we may not receive your email due to technical problems, then please call us at our hotlines or landlines to check, or call us on Skype/ Yahoo whichever suits you.
XII. CHANGES/ CANCELLATION
1. What if I need to cancel my trip? What is cancellation policy?
+ NON REFUNDABLE deposit of 10 USD for hotels, air ticket booking upon services confirmation
+ 60 days before arrival: No cancellation charge. We Guarantee 100% Money Back.
+ 30-59 days before arrival: 5% cancellation charge.
+ 15-29 days before arrival: 10%
+ 8-14 days before arrival: 40%
+ 7 days before arrival: 100 %
+ No show: 100%
*** Non refundable deposit and banking service fee will be forfeited in all cancellation cases.
However, in many cases, we will try our best to deal with suppliers for the least you have to pay.
2. Can I change my mind and transfer to another trip even after I’ve already made a reservation?
You may have to pay some cancellation fees, other than that, if it does not pass the issuing date and cut off date, you will be fine.

If you do bank transfer, it may take up to 3-5 days so we receive the money. Other than that, with online payment, you can receive confirmation in 24 hours.

6. I would like to pay USD cash on arrival and I am happy to provide my credit card details as a guarantee the booking. Is it possible?
At Travel Sense Asia, we accept the method of payment which is the most convenient to our guests. You can pay us in cash on arrival and credit card is just to guarantee your booking. However any cancellation at last minute will be automatically charged in full from your given credit card in conform with our booking conditions.
XV. ONLINE PAYMENT PROCESS
1. When you send me the link to the invoice, I filled in all the information needed, but the process still failed. What was wrong?
There are a few possibilities:
– The address you registered with the bank to send you the bill should be on, not the adress you are living now.
– Make sure all the inputs are correct.
– If your bank use Secured 3D programs (most of banks now do), then Our payment Gateway will pop up a small window to fill in password. Make sure you fill in this password right.
– Make sure the card expiration date do not precede the reservation date.
– Make sure you have not reached your credit limit
– If you get an error apart from the reasons above, please contact our Online Agent
2. Why do I need to send you 1 side of the credit card & passport page when requested?
For security, our payment gateway has a program to avoid Fraud card. And if there is any possibilities that the system doubt your card, we will ask you to send us the front side of your card (you can cover the last 4 digits of your card number for security).
We just need to check the name on card, address, expried date only.
If we request you to send the front card, nothing to be alarmed, this is only the last part of the check for security only.
1. I am foreigner/Vietnamese man, can I share a room with a Vietnamese lady?
Vietnamese Law Requires a Marriage Cetificate if man/s stay overnight with Vietnamese Ladies. We recommend you to mention this if it is your case for appropriate advices when make the booking with us.
2. What are the different room categories?
Unless stated otherwise we use run of house room for all our trips. Generally hotels tend to place their bedrooms within four different category : Standard Superior Deluxe Executive
The actual differences between the bedrooms varies from one hotel to another, with executive being the highest standard of room.
A single room is designed to accommodate one person only. The room contains one single bed or twin bed.
A double room is designed to accommodate two people only. The room contains one queen bed or king size bed or if not available a twin bed.
A twin room is also designed to accommodate two people only. The room contains two single beds or if not available a king size bed.
Family Rooms There are two main types of family rooms, as follows :
A triple room is designed to accommodate three people only. The room will contain either :
One queen and one single bed Three single beds
Please specify which option you require when sending your reservation form.
A quad room is designed to accommodate four people only. The room will contain either : Two queen beds One queen and two single beds Four single beds
“Run Of House” is abbreviated as “ROH” includes the most common or standard type of room category in the hotel with basic amenities. Your room will be determined by the hotel, based on the availability at the time of check-in.
Please specify which option you require when sending your reservation form. We can also assist you in seeking accommodation that can accommodate more than four people in a room. Please specify the number of people in your party when completing your reservation request form.
3. What are the check in and check out time of our hotels?
Normal policy of hotels is for check in time from 14:00 hours and the check out time before Noon (12:00 hrs.).
Early check-in or late check out available upon room’s availability depending on your staying hotel. Extra charge may be applied.
4. Can I order vegeterian foods?
You can, just select your preference on the special request
5. Is it safe to travel in Vietnam? I am a female, can I travel alone?
Traveling in Vietnam is generally safe. You can travel solo. Women and independent travellers have found it relatively hassle-free and easy to travel throughout the country. However, when traveling anywhere in the country, travelers should exercise caution and use common sense to avoid incidences of personal misfortune.
6. Do you recommend Travel Insurance?
We strongly recommend that all clients take our travel comprehensive insurance when making a booking.
We recommend that insurance covers loss of deposit and other monies through cancellation, loss or damage to personal baggage and loss of money, medical expenses, and additional expenses to cover hotel accommodation and repatriation costs should any services need to be extended or curtailed due to illness or other insurance risk.

Mostly our tour package is airport to airport so check if your airport transfer included or not on our services voucher or itinerary.
10. Can I use my points program from Accor, Marriot, Starwood, Hilton while booking those hotels with you?
No. Only reservations made directly with the participated hotels can use reward points. Howerver if you are a Golden Lotus Member of Vietnam Airlines, you can accumulate points with the selected and signed hotels with Vietnam Airlines.
11. All kind of papers tickets, how can I receive them?
The method and cost of delivery of ticket will depend on your location and your preferences.
For customers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, we offer free delivery of your tickets to your local residence or office address.
For customers in Vietnam but outside of Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, tickets will be delivered by EMS at the customer’s expense.
For customers outside Vietnam, tickets can be purchased in advance and held for delivery later to a hotel or resort or can be shipped internationally at the time of purchase. International shipping is available by Federal Express, DHL or a local provider within Vietnam at the customer’s choice, and all shipping fees will be paid by the customer.
For international flights to Vietnam (Saigon, Danang or Saigon) we recommend you to purchase at home for a better deal and we take care for the rest with land arrangment.
12. What is the difference between adjoining room and connecting room?
Both of them are appropriate for family and a couple of friends who want staying together and near each others. Connecting room means there are 2 separate rooms connected by a door. Adjoining room which includes 2 rooms connected by a door has only one entrance main door.
13. How can i book flights from my country to yours?
